Founded in 1885, Brugarolas Lubricants has been a chemical company with a long history and background. It is also famous called as Europe Eagle in the great China area. It boasts one of the largest lubricant laboratories in Spain and holds international quality assurance certifications like ISO9001/TS16949/PECAL/AQAP2110. Located in Barcelona, Spain, it is the largest lubricant production facilitiy in the country and the second-largest in Europe market. Brugarolas lubricants are widely used in various industries, including packaging, chemical, aerospace, automotive, metal processing, textile, food, cement plants, mining, plastic factories, power companies, steel plants, electronics, and glass factories. The company has received numerous manufacturer certifications and OEM recommendations.

Brugarolas has continuously accumulated experience and knowledge in all industrial activities, creating the most extensive portfolio of products and solution combinations in the market. It offers over 3,000 products that embody history and technology. Our laboratory-developed products cater to common applications, special applications, and new developments. Brugarolas products and services are currently present in over 60 countries/regions.

Brugarolas manufacturing facility is located in the town of Rubí. It is situated 26 km from Barcelona, with easy access to highways and railways, enabling quick communication with the Port of Barcelona, Spain, and other regions worldwide.

The warehouse and distribution center are attached to the factory, strategically positioned in a convenient transportation hub. The total construction area of Brugarolas exceeds 35,000 m², with an annual production capacity of over 50,000 tons.

The IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 certifications indicate that we have a quality management system (QMS) in place that meets the high requirements of supplying the automotive and related sectors and industries, enabling us to confidently enter that market.

Brugarolas also enters the food industry with its range of food-grade products (NSF H1, NSF 3H and Halal) and has obtained international certification from NSF, an accredited certification body.

Research & Development

Brugarolas has been dedicated to the research and development of new products since its establishment. Continuous innovation, exploration of new raw materials, updating production processes, and the development of new products with future characteristics and applications have always been the company’s principles.

To maintain a leading position and provide our customers with the best tribological solutions, since 2017, we have two laboratory sections: one focused on research and development in the field of greases and aerosols, and another dedicated to automotive lubricants, process products, refrigerants, and auxiliary products. The research and development department covers an area of 600 sqm.

In addition to technical capabilities, a competent and experienced human team is essential for innovation. The experts in the research and development department are qualified technicians with an innovative spirit, in-depth understanding of applied technology, and a close monitoring of the development of various industry needs.

Elements guaranteeing high performance and maximum reliability have been introduced into new formulations. We have conducted thorough research to provide solutions that fully comply with safety, hygiene, and environmental requirements in response to customer demands.

In addition to internal research activities, Brugarolas maintains close relationships with national and international technology centers, aiming to transfer advanced technology and high added value from these centers to our company.

Since 1989, we have participated in 15 R&D projects funded by different governmental official institutions.
